ION2 HYDRO-MECHANICAL BELT FILTER

The ION2 Hydro-mechanical belt filter (ION2 HMBF) is used for the screening and de-watering of primarily coal slurry but can be adapted for use in other mineral beneficiation processes. The ION2 HMBF differs from other screening and de-watering methods in that it actually increases the permeability and porosity of the material being treated, by reducing the potential for consolidation and settlement of the fines through it’s unique, patented* use of vacuum, pneumatic agitation, hydraulic placement and mechanical handling of the product. This means that screening efficiency is increased and de-watering ability improved.

ION2 RCF SERIES - CARTRIDGE FILTERS

Our range of ION2 RCF “down flow” Cartridge filters are designed to be modular to give greater flexibility during the design and selection process. The units are installed under negative pressure with the air entering immediately into a drop out box, which allows the larger particulate to drop into the outlet hopper. Deflector plates ensure even distribution of the entering air over the filter media surfaces. Due to the large filter surface areas the units have a much smaller footprint than bag filters for the same volume of air. Additionally the lower filtration velocities ensure a much higher filtering efficiency. The units can be fitted with our Vortex inlet manifold (VM) to facilitate the cyclonic pre-filtration of entering air. The manifold has no moving parts, requires no additional space and will remove up to 90% of the >30micron particulate thus reducing the dust load on the cartridge filter and increasing performance and longevity.

ION2 DE-GRITTING SYSTEM

We experience the best and worst of the industry and in many instances have to operate, repair and maintain systems which do not perform optimally due to design, maintenance or operational flaws. The experience allowed us to develop an efficient de-gritting system with a small footprint which can be designed site specific if required. The system obviates the need for the construction of dams which requires extended underground space and costly civil work. A winch is not required as in conventional de-gritting systems adding to safety of operation. The unique hydraulic design of the system classifies the dirty water feed to a settling system into grit carrying and grit free streams followed by dewatering of the grit carrying stream.

ION2 PASSIVE RESERVOIR CLEANING SYSTEM

The ION2 PRC was developed to extract sludge build-up from dams and reservoirs. Sludge build-up causes a loss of storage capacity and can damage pumps and equipment downstream of affected dams. The system can be used while the dam or reservoir is on-line without affecting normal operations.
